Coincidentally on my recent walks I have been listening to " The Rest is History " podcasts about Joan of Arc. Four, one hour episodes so they go into the subject in depth. Fascinating and educational. This morning I was listening to their discussion of Tolkein, I had read the " Lord of the Rings " books many years ago, but hadn't learned about the man and his background, nor how much his time in the trenches during the first World War influenced his writing. It's great listening to stuff like this.

The Rest Is History is great!
Their 6-parter on The Titanic is fascinating….we all know how it ended, but they didn’t focus on that at all…the stories of the different people involved: brilliant 👍

Heading back from a long day at Wimbledon. What a smashing time (see what I did there?) 🤪

I know very little about current players, but it was fun to be on Court 2, then have a wander about the outside courts…& the museum was fab too 💪

Up at 6am, home by midnight…we need a relaxing day tomorrow 🫣

Good morning from a Dark Dorset. Visited friends last night and as we don't have a car we were planning on getting the bus home as it's too far for Mrs Tkk to walk with her dodgy knee. One of our friends offered give her a lift home, I chose to walk as our friend has a two-seater Porsche. 5.2 km walk for me, gymnastics trying to climb out of the car for Mrs Tkk😁

Going to Daughter #1's eith the dogs today. She's just back from a break in Prague which she spent on a range shooting an AK47. The gents hairdressing business must really be getitng dicey these days!

Overcast and cool this morning ,although the sun is trying to break through the clouds ,bit of a brisk wind.

Eggs on toast and two coffees this morning although no gardens consumed .

Nothing much planned today after yesterdays wander around Naaridge and de-camp in the Fat Cat pub.

Sunny and breezy. Wshing and coffee is on.
Plan is put on 2nd hand wheels I've bought and take them for a test ride. I suspect rear bearing a bit rumbly but we'll see.

£150 on PBs. Better than nothing that's for sure.
