Good evening. It's got warmer as the day has gone by. Mrs P has gone out to collect carpet sample books. This is good and bad news. A new bedroom carpet is needed, good. Paul has to decorate first, bad.

On the decorating front there is more to do. Last year we bought a large garden building, half shed, half summer house. It works well. It now needs a good preservative before winter sets in. What colour??? Mrs P has been considering this for sometime. I asked again for a decision, and got the response "You'll have to live with it longer than me. You choose." I was able to confide I'd been thinking the same thing for months 😁........and yes, in our house this is acceptable

16% mortgage........I still sweat just remembering it.......

Used the Whatshalfway app to choose a place to meet up with friends. Had a lovely lunch with them at the Wheatsheaf Inn in Lymm. Nice pint of ale (Hydes Hopster) and good food

Bertie Bantam sorted; the breather hole in the petrol tank cap was blocked and causing fuel starvation. Lot easier fix than I was expecting; I had suspected a serious ignition problem.
Now I've just got to seal the fibreglass tank on the Barracuda...
The joys of owning classic bikes. 🥴

I’m off on Saturday for a short tour of the Scottish Borders and the Lake District, checked the bike over this afternoon and had a trial pack.

I'm fine. I'd been very busy as I always volunteer to help out with the local arts festival.

Now that it's all over, I've just feeling a bit deflated and overwhelmed with all the nonsense going on at work.

Evening all . Sailing was sailed and very pleasant it was too. A good breeze from a good direction. 🙂.
Only four boats out which was a little disappointing but we are into school holiday time, so turn outs do drop .
All the other three are much better sailors than me . So I was very happy to finish third and I would/ should have finished second ( beating Mrs exlaser ) if I hadn’t dropped the tiller extension at the wrong time .😂
But looking at it in the round it was probably better Mrs exlaser finished second as she is in contention to win the series overall and I am not, plus it did make our car journey home less stressful. 😂😂
It was also very pleasant to end the evening, sitting outside the clubhouse with a glass of cold white wine in my hand , swapping stories of the race with friends, in the cool breeze off the water.

I was going to suggest checking the breather hole, 1st thing to check really. Then I thought "nah, Dirk is bound to have checked that".
My tip for the day is 'when riding a classic bike always carry one of those hole clearing gizmos'......you can get them quite cheap on Amazon.

Well well well, we has rain which is in for the morning. Its put the kibosh on my planned walk** but means I can get my washing done.
I will also nip to Aldi.
**someone has told me about a large park a few miles away that I didnt know existed. The perimeter walk is 1.8 miles with plenty of options to extend it.

Good morning from an overcast Dorset. Meeting a friend at Upton Country Park and planning to walk into Poole around Holes Bay. Coffee at " Limoncello " in the old High Street and then go our separate ways. Limoncello is a small ( Italian ) family concern and I have heard good reports, the cakes especially 😁
