Good morning. Grey, dry, breezy that will do but there's a 90% chance of rain till 12.00. We have 40 people arriving 1.00pm onwards to celebrate Mrs P's 70th.

If you could all suck hard at once, I'll blow, we might manage to keep the rain away from a tiny corner of Lancashire.

M&S delivered flowers for Mrs P yesterday. They're at a neighbour's house for me to collect. Now, I know a thing or two about flowers and plants. I chose M&S for their reliability and the standards demanded from suppliers. I'm disappointed. The bouquet size doesn't match the image and many of the flowers are very slightly marked. A review will follow to M&S!!!! Grrrrr.......

Lots of tiny chores to do......👋👋

Hope all goes well for Mrs SB.....I've done my bit for you and its raining here.
Re the flowers......if you take a photo and if possible go in i think you will get a refund (if you could be mithered).

Morning.
Bright and sunny after rain in the night.
Plan is a bit of bike fettling to get position dialed in, cut the grass, tip run and maybe a gentle spin around the local lanes.
Need to make the most of any dry days as new bike won't be seeing the rain ^_^

We're also out for a meal tonight with my sister and her partner who are staying in the area for a few days. My (adult) kids are tagging along as I'm paying...

A 5.5 mile drizzly walk done before it turns even heavier soon.

Not sure what I fancy for breakfast this morning. I might just do another omelette.

I don't usually eat before 12:00 but have been having breakfast for a few days while I take Naproxen. Sliced 1/2 banana 3 soft pitted dates and a generous handful of dried raisins and cranberries, all in a small bowl with Kefir poured over. It tasted delicious, the slight tartness of the kefir balancing the natural sweetness of the fruit.

Friends arriving for their yearly 2 week visit.
Making a chilli for later as not certain when they'll arrive.
