Good evening or should that be good night? Anyway. I'm not sure where the day has gone. A lot of admin this morning, some batch cooking, then coffee with my cycling buddies before dossing around for the evening. I find it increasingly difficult to be motivated to do anything after 7.00pm.
Every day's a school day. It's a fact, there's a reason why the days/weeks/years seem to fly by as we get older. It's to do with memory and the brain's need to store experiences. As a child everything is new; the brain works very hard to create, store and make markers for these experiences. These thousands of memories being created give a sense of time feeling longer. As adults we've already created many of these memories so when we experience something again the brain doesn't record it thus creating fewer markers, fewer memories, the only thing that is recorded is a new experience, if we don't have any the day has flown by. When we look back it seems as though time has passed more quickly.
I only heard this yesterday. I think it's a fascinating concept. It made me wonder about how my little ones are experiencing and processing all this new stuff, every hour of every day. No wonder they get tired and cranky.
There are always new things to experience.
Things like Blackburn beating Wrexham maybe
