Woke up ..... and I've got MrsD's stinking cold/cough.

What's the name of the P F tribute band?
I saw Australian Pink Floyd back in October and they are absolutely fantastic.

The band was called 'Wish we were Pink Floyd'. They made a decent fist of most stuff. Second half, where they did Dark Sie of the Moon, was better than the first.

If I remember the 3 things they wanted was passport, credit card or, bizarrely a NI driving licence. None of which I have. I can’t be bothered phoning them so when it comes time to claim for my state pension in just over 2 years, I will just do it by old school paper and pen.

I don't recall having to provide any ID to sign up to the Govt Gateway.

This morning I am putting a slow cooker corned beef casserole on......for our late lunch this afternoon.
Dishwasher to empty (I hate that job).

I went to bed last night and slept for about an hour then was awake till gone half two, I ended up sleeping through and got up about twenty past seven, I cant remember the last time I slept in that late.

Morning all from a cloudy Coventry .
Mrs exlaser and i are still in bed and drinking tea. 😀
Should be a good day today as one of my favourite things to do in the world is go and look at bikes or bikes and Mrs exlaser has her eye on a new ( well nearly new ) boat .
She has been talking about having a new one built and has been prevaricating for a couple of years but a 2 year one has just come up for sale , it’s hardly been used as the owner ( who we know well ) has had health problems and is half the price of a new one.
So we are off the A14 to Huntingdon in a few hours to have a look at it and try and do a deal 😀.

Morning. We have mild, dry but blustery here with the chance of rain later.


Just slightly short of 8 miles walked this morning…..all on trails apart from the first and last miles.

It is grey and dull outside, but dry.
I take it most members are having a lie in, or are already out and about.

Definitely a lie-in here. Bit of a unplanned wild night was had and we finally got to sleep at 5am.😱 💘 💤

Got up at exactly 11.57am - so just avoided getting up in the afternoon.

Lazy day planned and another long night awaits.

I think our body clocks are different to most in this thread. 😂

Morning all


well - lunchtime - although I have been up since 8 ish

and today we have used about zero electricity - solar panel batteries working - detail on other thread

anyway - just finished lunch (ham sandwich if anyone is interested) and then I have to sort out the kids bedrooms as ther are (may be) staying over tonight by request
which is a new one because the request came from the SEN 6 year old who enjoys staying over but normally doesn't request it - shows he is starting to think ahead more maybe!

Anyway - no time to investigate annoying noise from bike today - may have to wait until Monday and maybe just give up and get the bike shop to fix it!
