Morning all

Had a call from our Estate Agent yesterday to update us on the proceedings. She's fairly confident that we will be given a completion date sometime next week.
Today we will be packing the living room stuff into boxes in preparation; MrsD's already done her office.
Will have to cut the lawns later as well.

Hello! Grey and dull outside. Inside it's also grey and dull. Terrible sleep. Woke at 1.30am, wide awake, sat downstairs till 5.50am, back to bed and slept fitfully till 8.45. Not feeling great.

I should be replacing our damaged fence today. Two options, a couple of standard panels or post/rail/slats. Can't decide really. Getting panels here will be a nightmare and need delivery. I can collect all the timber, cut to length for a post and rail job this morning. More expensive and will probably outlive me.

Hoping to find my mojo somewhere soon!!

morning all…..back from a month skiing, absolutely cream-crackered…..most washing now done….& now is the month of the Leicester Comedy Festival, so we shall amble into town later, have a beer or three and see what daftness awaits at a random as-yet-unchosen venue….

I've been for a bimble this morning. The carer was here at quarter to eight, by half eight my a**e was on the saddle and I was clicking my foot into the pedal then heading off on my Brinklow loop, I've ridden twenty four miles today and I got off the bike at the end feeling like I used to feel after a hundred miler, it's a lovely morning for a bike ride, cold, and grey with a gentle breeze, most of the roads were nice and clear though there were a few lanes lumpy and slimy with mud, the tyres on the fixed don't feel secure in the mud and feed that back through the contact points, they've not misbehaved yet though, that was the first ride for almost a fortnight so it was nice to get out and stretch the legs.

I think we are having BBQ pork and rice today.

Houseworky stuff now finished. Pottering time I think.

Finally got to sleep at 5.15am - Mrs SD wanted to carry on but I needed to be up to watch the W.Ham vs Chelsea match at 12.30.
