Morning. An overcast and rather chilly morning here. I’ve been out for my morning walk. Nearly 8 miles and jogged for a mile in the middle. A 12 minute mile which, considering I am a stone overweight with legs that don’t work well and haven’t run for months was ok for me. Must get the weight off and build the running fitness back up as I prefer it to cycling now.

Good morning from a gloriously sunny Lancashire........sheeeeesh as I typed that the sky clouded over.......

Good morning from a dull, grey Lancashire. I was about to say small person has just gone swimming and I'd get the sheets on to wash as it is (was) a good drying day.

What else? Not much. Just ran into a touch of difficulty trying to use my son's season ticket to get an away ticket for Leicester in the cup. The lady insisted I buy a senior. This wouldn't have worked as the plan was to give it to a friend.........who is a 35 year old serving police officer.........who often does match day duties at?????? Leicester City. Why is life so complicated? Rather than fess up I said I'd pop down later as I couldn't find my card.

There, you didn't know you're in the company of someone who tries to sidestep FA ticketing arrangements.

Perhaps I'll put the sheets on......

OK
so

Valentine's Day
All planned - went to florist to get flowers first thing - card written

Meal in local restaurant this evening

main problem is caused by her Mum
who had sister-in-law in February 14th! (she had a thing about Saint's days - Valentines day - Paddy's day and one I forget!)
so she and her husband are joining us for dinner
she is fine - her husband is probably the thickest person I have ever met - we have nothing in common
I am thinking of getting a taxi there so I can have a few drinks

Luckily there is also a Quiz night so that should reduce the need to try to talk too much

Nothing valentines related in the Exlaser household as it’s my daughters birthday so that takes priority.
We took her out for posh meal yesterday as it was easier.
It always brings back memories 1996 it’s was a cold winter and there was snow on ground. I had to cycle home to pick up the car to drive up to the hospital.
It doesn’t seem like 27 years ago 😀
