But not the fish to go with it!
I'd hand it back.

A win is a win, as far as I'm concerned.

It came up on my Facebook memories today, its been 8 years since the man with van knocked my door and delivered my Genesis Flier, its been very good and is my favourite bike, it started off as my commuter and winter bike, since retirement its just been my winter bike, I've ridden 11761 enjoyable miles on it, without the events of the couple of years I'd have ridden a few more.

I was just reading that Anglia Water want to take over the land that Pitsford sailing club use.I am assuming that it is the Pitsford reservoir you use Just wondered how this will affect you

I know Northampton sailing club well but i actually sail at Leamington sailing club . I am in two minds over this news .I will try and give some background info on how clubs work. Most clubs in the uk are volunteer run but some clubs are big enough to employ full time staff. This works well on the south coast were clubs have a big memberships, but some clubs in the midlands ( Draycote, Northampton and Grafham ) run this way with out the membership to pay for it . So they make up the difference with commercial events ie training courses and running opens and national events. So clubs like Northampton have to have loads of spare land for big events for boats and places for people to camp.
Is it a perfect club , no but I think the water companies accusation that the club is elitist is incorrect. If the water company want to make a area for open water swimmers and paddle boards ( sailing club members can already paddleboard ) can use they already have two car parks with access to the water with out impacting the sailing club in any way . So I ready don’t know why they are picking on the club as for a water company they are normally positive to sailing clubs unlike Severn Trent that is who my club has to deal with .
