Good morning from a gloriously sunny Lancashire. A beautiful day has dawned. Went to bed at 9.45 absolutely nackered, bad sleep Thursday, woke at 2.30am! again, but have managed to sleep till 6.30 today so not that bad. Feeling a bit stiff though. Easter Egg Hunt at the sports club today, a family afternoon event really, which kicks off (don't mention football) starts at 1.00, I'm helping with setting up gazebos and hiding Easter eggs at 9.00 and then running the bar from 1.00 - 3.00. Small person will be arriving with her parents to go egg hunting.

That is about it. I need to fiddle with my strimmer as the on/off trigger keeps sticking and probably a bit of allotment work. The Cervelo needs collecting from the LBS, something I absolutely must not forget to do.

I'm going to have an absolute treat for my breakfast. I always enjoy scrambled egg. The last few days I've been looking after the neighbour's guinea pigs and checking on the chickens. This morning I was presented with three fresh eggs. Still warm. So it will shortly be scrambled eggs, as fresh as can be, brown rye sourdough toast and coffee.........some wild smoked salmon would just round it off but sadly this I don't have.

My football team lost yesterday. Badly. This was a very bad thing but JUST..........DON'T...........MENTION.........THE.........FOOTBALL.

Morning. I have finally got out for a short bimble while it was quiet. Out the door at 6.25 and back by 7.45. Just 17 miles, which actually feels plenty for me these days.

Cold and overcast earlier but the sun is coming through now. No doubt busy later. I might get a walk in this morning before it gets too mobbed then hide indoors and read this afternoon.

Good morning,
Monthly " Musical Market " up the road this morning. Quite a few stalls and various local musicians performing in the garden in front of the Church. A few months ago there was a young girl who was outstandingly good on the violin. Oneof my favourites was a group of three ladies dressed up in 50's fashions and singing various contemporary songs such as the " Boogie Woogie Bugler " The local Horticultural society usually has a stall selling plants and offering free advice.
Out for a curry this evening so I'll be doing my run in a while instead of in the morning...
