The interesting one today was on our way home from town, the bus pulled up , latest electric bus, the driver got out and dropped the wheelchair ramp, I wheeled my Good Lady on and as I pushed her to the wheelchair space a message was broadcast telling everyone a wheelchair user had just boarded the bus and asking anyone in the wheelchair space to move, I've not heard that before.
They could do with something similar on the buses round here.

Removes the driver from the system and he's able to back up what the system has said, should they need to.

Easy really....just practice saying
"No, not him or anyone else is riding my bike".
NOW.....
Just practice saying it (to yourself in the mirror), maybe 30 times, then just go and say it out loud.
Easy peasy.
Dangerous. You know this is dangerous.......
Ask yourself two questions: Is he a keen cyclist and is he better than you?
If you can answer yes to both questions, then you have a problem.
No and no
Will it be the right size for him?
You don't want him injuring himself while he's on holiday. Thereby ruining their holiday.

Failing that book it in for it's annual service a week before they're due.
Ah! Health, safety and enjoyment. Yes, this I like
Buy a new bike with different pedals for him to "use while he is here"
after he leaves change the pedals and you have a new bike!!!
and all because she wanted you to do it so no having to justify it!!!

hope this helps
And the prize goes to..........

Ebikeerwidnes.......👏👏👏

Once again I'm awake at an ungodly hour. Today I'm trying a different tack. Usually when I wake up I start thinking about stuff that needs doing, then I get up, arse around not doing much and drinking a coffee.

Today. No coffee but a glass of orange squash. Then I have pottered and tidied putting away all the bits and pieces, plumping cushions, folding throws left scattered on the sofa, picking up Mrs P's shoes etc. Now I can go back to bed knowing this stuff has been done.........

Morning. Up with the larks again so got myself out for a run while the roads are quiet. 7 miles this morning which is my longest for quite a while. Very slow but I enjoyed it

Off for a nice soak in the bath then I'll have my breakfast.

Bit overcast here today and I'm not sure if the sun will make it through. Think it's back to rain at some point nearly every day for the next couple of weeks.

Morning all :hello:

Another nice day in the offing.
Might nip up to Staple Plain for a walk, then drop in to a garden centre before having a swift half in the White Horse.
I advertised my old petrol mower on FB yesterday and sold it within 5 minutes. FB takes some beating, if you've got stuff to sell.

Happy Easter everyone

Up early - which is not good
need to drive up to foreign parts later on so I could have done with a longer sleep

but whatever - if I need a nap somewhere North of the border my wife will just read her kindle for 20 minutes or something

now - what do we need to use up that I can have for breakfast

:hello: Good morning all, and a Happy Easter everyone, and remember that all that chocolate you're eating has to be burnt off, so theres another reason to get your bike out.

My undercarriage is still tender from yesterday's bimble and, if truth be told, I'm enjoying my walking and running way more than cycling now so can't see me doing much again this year.

Just receieved some energy saving advise from Loop - who allow you access to smart meter data

Apparently people who turn their heating off by mid April save 10% more gas than those who don't

so if I turn off my Gas heating then I won't use as much gas as I would use if I actually used it

No sh1t Sherlock

Honestly!!!

Same with the adverts for smart meters. They make it sound like they are magically going to make you save money. Surely we all know that if we turn things off or down we will save money.
