Have a look at BBC Weather.Light winds and drizzle ☔️💧🌧🌦🌂 ?

I think I was right . Light drizzle was over by 9am and the day has just got better and better . It’s a lovely sunny day now .
Top tip for the best forecast , go straight to the met office web site . The BBC weather service has been rubbish since they stopped using the met office a few years ago . 😀

Turned into a lovely evening here but a bit cool for sitting outside. Got home from my ride to St Anne's. We had to go there so my buddy could pick up the "parcel waiting for you" note from his deceased mother's house and then on to the sorting office to collect the parcel. 60 miles is a long way to ride to pick up a Garmin mount  I'm still unclear as to how it was sent to his Mum's place!!!!!

Mrs P told me she had bought new hooks and they are being put up TONIGHT! Yep, you heard tonight. Discression being the better part of valour I asked where. In our house every wall is stone........except one 3' wide section which is stud and plaster. Guess where the hooks are going? To my amazement I found three suitable plugs in my tool box. RESULT!!!!

Four rides in six days, 241 miles. Very happy with this. Two days rest and back out Monday I hope.

Dinner up the pub delicious!

Band going very well thanks @PaulSB . We've had a month off rehearsal and live work because our singist is working abroad (singist is a big nob and head of UK for a very well known firm, drummist owns a pub, lead gittist works only mornings writing apps for companies - me and rhythm guitarist are retired.)

He's back next week, then it's into rehearsals and live work. May is busy for pub and club gigs, then we're headlining a beer festival and a very big paying private gig in June, August free as that is summer holidays for those of us with kids, then very busy for work September through crimbo.

We're at the £2000 level now for private work, and we treat the pubs and stuff at £500 a time as a paid rehearsal opportunity as much as gigs in their own right. I find the pubs and clubs more fun, but £400 for two hours playing makes the private gigs quite lucrative.

Were we all 30 years younger and actually gave a sheet we could make a living from it. Our lead guitarist is a good songwriter, although we ohly do covers as a band, so it's not beyond the possibility that if we could have our time again we really could have been something. As it is we're all financially secure old farts that like to pretend we're famous.

:hello: Morning, woke up can't sleep

Good morning, 'tis grey and overcast but I think the sun will break through. 12⁰ but feels quite chilly. Well it's a positive sort of Paul you have today........that's a Covid-19 positive Paul! Bugger! Bugger! Bugger! I knew the moment I woke up, which was about 2.30am, as I have a slight sore throat. Lets hope that's the only symptom. Just as well I ducked out of last night's quiz and bar duty today. I did get a few gentle smiles from people on this, in a way I'm happy to be proved correct in my choices.

Today is now my own. I'll take the chance to finish the allotment preparations and spend time considering exactly what I'm going to grow this year. Probably clean the bike and wash the car, I'll see how that goes.
