Phew! Got here at last. A nice warm day with sunny patches, we're due full sun at 1.00pm when the Great Village Picnic starts. 🤞

Gazebos erected, tables and benches prepared, music ready. I'm nackered so just popped home for a brew and a nap.

Hospital visiting later.
I wasn't going to post this as its generally a light hearted section. But.....I will.
MrsD has been (and is) quite poorly. 5 days ago I was told to "prepare for the worst" as her organs were shutting down.
She does seem to be rallying a bit but that does fluxuate. I will see what this afternoonrings.


I will not be bringing this up all the time.

Very sorry to hear that Dave - the most awful situation that any older couple has to face.

Sorry to hear your news @Dave7 .

I drank a bit too much red wine last night, in consequence I slept in until 10 this morning, and I am feeling a bit delicate.
MissP is calling in this afternoon so I am cooking a roast chicken dinner for this afternoon.
I think I need another mug of tea.

Been walking and saw a slow worm
when I left it was only 12c, but now it is 23c, I could have worn my shorts and a light top

14 deg and a breeze here, but the sun feels really warm

It's a nice sunny afternoon here. Two loads of washing is now out on the line.
From a slow start, I'm gradually catching up. 😁

The sunshine has made me want to clean stuff. Luckily it didn't last long. I cleaned a shelving unit that I keep knick knacks on and the items that were on it. Looks a lot better now.

Now I have to lie down in a dark room for being so energetic.

4.5 mile riverside trail walk done. Wasn’t too busy as the majority of visitors were in the park for a Coronation party. Brass band on the way out and pop music when I was coming home. The cafe will be open and there’s face painting and stuff for the kids. It’s turned out quite warm now.

Morning all

Best mates are coming over at 11.00 this morning and we are going to drop in at the Watchet Street Market, down at the harbour, before we go on for Sunday lunch at the White Horse. They are staying overnight, as I daresay there will be a few drinks poos this evening.
Weather's not looking too bad today.

Like Watcher. Have they fixed the harbour yet?
