Back from hospital. They have taken my beautiful wife off 'everything' now ie not even any water.
Its just a waiting game now.
Oh geez Dave. Really, truly feel for you.

Back to the hotel from the Beamish museum. We had a fantastic day and well worth a visit. I didn't know that our tickets are valid for a full 12 months so who knows, we may call again.
My wife's feet are aching now after all the walking so we will stay at the hotel and rest. Being our 36th wedding anniversary today too, I might treat her to a meal at the hotel tonight.
Regarding parking, all places were taken outside the hotel so it will be another 19.50 pounds tomorrow morning, when we set off to go home, back to Molly who is also 5 years old today. I will stop on the way home to buy her a present.
I think I need a little win on the postcode lottery to replace all my spending since yesterday. 🤔

Sorry to be seeing that.Back from hospital. They have taken my beautiful wife off 'everything' now ie not even any water.

Here's hoping that it'll be as quick and as painless, for all involved, as possible.
Likewise, definitely not callous either.
When my mum was dying in a hospice (ovarian cancer aged just 60) once the wonderful Dr's effectively pulled the plug, I just wanted the whole miserable situation for everyone to end. Sadly she clung on for some time albeit unaware as she was drugged to the max'.
I have obviously discussed the EOL scenario with my own wife and we both agree that there are no happy endings to love.
For sure, there will be great memories, but the end of a genuinely loving, and beautiful, relationship is always a tragedy imho. 😢
Yes. We met when she was 16. Married when she was 19. 55 great years** and a great family.
**so many good memories but sadly I can't think of them without crying.
Fortunately she is not on any drugs etc so it shouldn't drag on too long.
