Getting old but not past it

Bonjour. Going to Angel Bay for 8 am as we are meting our son and his two dogs there. Afterwards , his two dogs are coming to stay with us as they are going on holiday to Turkey for 10 days later this morning so we will have 3 dogs in the house. Molly doesn't like it, although they are her brothers so she will sulk for a bit.
Another warm and sunny day here in North Wales.

Hello! Blue skies and sunshine in Lancashire. Today is a very busy day as not much has happened chores wise of late:

  • Three weeks of housework to do - NEXT
  • Grass to cut - LATER
  • Allotment to tend - LATER
  • Car clean - postponed
  • Bike TLC - possibly but likely postponed 😢

Its not going to happen any time soon but I need to shift about a stone and a half then do some turbo sessions and build my mileage up again, try and get back to riding 50-60 milers regularly, my average this morning was 11.6 mph. It looks like my off this morning was rider error, I've checked the transmission and it has a little wear in it but otherwise its in good nick, it looks like I've got a little bruising on my left knee and thats it apart from getting stung on the wrist, it looks like I disturbed an insect and it wasn't impressed.

And here I am trying to shift four pounds Like to be 11stone

Glad I had a short ride yesterday morning It’s cloudy currently and a bit parky

Morning. It was an overcast and slightly chilly start for us up here but I have been out for a spin. Longest for nearly a year I think. 32 miles and a bit of hills so quite happy with that. My back and neck were getting a bit achy towards the end anyway.

I think I'll have porridge this morning rather than muesli to heat me up.

Reading that makes my legs ache 32 miles in my current state of fitness no chance. Current mileage is111 . I’ve used the turbo consistently up to mid May Fat lot of good that’s done me.😣

Well done Mo

Started young, and still going.
Location
Barnet,
Morning all from a sunny Barnet.
All the usual things to do.
I may take a look at the cup and cone BB bearings on my old Falcon as there were strange clicking noises coming from that direction. But first I'll change the pedals, always start with the easier options.

My typical routine during term time:

Sunday - car cleaning.
Monday - DIY/decorating.
Tuesday - visit a friend. Gardening PM.
Wednesday - visit Daughter #1.
Thursday - ironing. Band rehearsals evening.
Friday - friend visits me.
Saturday - day of rest.

In between all that I'm walking Mini d to and from school, walking the dog, having lunch, doing the daily chores, 90 minutes music practice, watching Find It Fix It Flog It. I'm not riding as much as I woukd like simply because I don't have the time!
