Morning all.
What a day yesterday was.
Daughter was sorting out MrsDs clothes for the funeral. Can't get my head around that but I suppose it must be done.
Son and girlfriend spent the day here.
Bro, SiL and nieces spent the afternoon.
Various neighbours called with cards (which started me blubbing.
I was totally knackered but so pleased they had all been.
Slept heavy but still woke at 05.00 🤨

Genius! I've always avoided online because I don't want home delivery. I get loads of offers as well, Click and Collect it is. Never even occurred to me.

ASDA charge 50p for " Click and collect " ( ten shillings in real money 😉) The " click and collect " points are usually in the Car Park so no need to go into the store.

It's green bin day - non-recyclable household waste, AKA landfill. Years ago we easily filled a full size bin then changed to a mini bin as recycling got started. Today we:
  • Compost everything which can be composted
  • Blue bin - glass, plastic, metal
  • Brown - non compostable paper and card
  • Grey - non compostable garden waste
  • Supermarket return for soft plastic
  • Batteries to supermarket
  • Medical foil wrapping to chemist
Today's bin contained 1, yes ONE, pedal bin liner of waste for landfill. What a result. The big difference is local supermarkets are now accepting soft plastic, took two bin liners full to Aldi yesterday.

Very happy.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Hello. Dull, grey, breezy, cool, arm warmers, gilet. Forecast is 17⁰. My buddy suggested meeting at my place for 9.30 which means he's planning a Ribble Valley ride.

Woke at 4.45 feeling ghastly. Still have this thumping headache and strange sensation on the back of my head. I was ready to hide in bed for the day. Had coffee and paracetamol and feel better but it's still nagging. Pretty sure this is connected with my sleeping position. I'll try flat on my back tonight..........snoring and possibly end up with a pillow over my face. 🤣

Mr WD isn't well either. Chills, headache and general lethargic feeling.

Large free range eggs in Aldi £2.65 a dozen. Thing I noticed about eggs a while back is the grades changed to very large, large, medium and small. What really happened is much smaller eggs started to be sold as "small" and the rest moved up a grade to create "very large."

I can still pickup local farm gate eggs for £3.00 per dozen locally.

When I we’re a lad we used to get Bantams eggs 🍳🍳🍳

Morning. Brrr, it's not exactly warm here. Overcast and cool. The sun may or may not make it through later........then I'll be complaining I'm too hot!

Riverside trail done. I saw a lady I often meet on my hill walk ahead of me so jogged to catch her up and chummed her all the way round and had a good blether. She has a lovely Beardie Collie who enjoyed a swim in the river.

Green general waste bin for us today.

Thanks. He does have a tendency to be prima Donna to be honest. If he has a cold, he is bedbound with man flu.

Mrs @BoldonLad regularly tells me that I have charmed life, and, "do nothing except sit on my backside, whilst she does all the chores".

For the past couple of days, I have been laid up with a foot problem (Plantar Fasciitis, I believe), so, Mrs @BoldonLad has had to do "my" chores.

Not a problem, you would think, after all, what is difficult about sitting? But, she has just returned from putting the wheelie bin out, watering the plants, and, tells me, she is exhausted.

I have refrained from comment. ;)

Us men have our uses, not that I can think of any, at this precise moment ;)
