Ironing done!

In the new year my Volvo is having new brand 4 new tyres and belts - it'll go to the dealer for the work (it's probably the onky C70 in captivity with full dealer history and I want to maintain that provenance) so I'm probably going to be 8 or 9 hundred sheets down the river for that. Hey ho, it's not like I drink or smoke...much...many times an hour...

I had a C70. Fab car but everything was soooooo expensive.

I gave the car a run over to the village I was born in to see if dad’s neighbour was around, but looks like they might be away on holiday. Both cars there but nobody around. No matter, it gave the car a 30 mile run and passed the time and keeps the hand in driving as I do so little now.

Geez, I'm nackered. Crap sleep last night due to neck and headache - it's fine all day then after a couple of hours in bed gets very uncomfortable. I've made a brew and heading upstairs for a quiet snooze.

Collected the car from the valet man. WOW! Sparkling. A brilliant job.

We've had a good afternoon down the club, we went in the Cassilax cafe for lunch then I pushed my Good Lady down to the club for some socializing, a drink and a game of bingo, I didn't win a thing but my Good Lady won twice, so it was profitable as well as enjoyable.

Off out to rehearsals. Huge gig Saturday night, I'll be earning a tenner a song, so I don't mind putting in the practice tonight.

Spent the day on the west coast of Cumbria and it has been very hot - only just starting to cool down.

The grass has been cut, although it is pretty dry now.
There is rain forecast for the weekend though.
My climbing beans and sweet peas have been planted out and the wallflowers have been pricked out into boxes.
Yet another busy day.
