Folks......your support will be much appreciated today as it is the funeral of my much loved MrsD.
The hearse will leave from my house ar 09.30 with the family travelling behind (this is the family's wish.....I prefer a simple afair but I am OK with their preference).
A light pub buffet will follow).
I am crying as I type this so god knows how I will get through the funeral**
** My SiL is taking this. It is his wish as he really loved my wife (hated me but loved my wife 😀).

Sending hugs and virtual support Dave. I’m sure I can speak for everyone that posts here to say we will be with you in spirit if not in person. Hope it goes as well as these things can

No doubt that will offend a snowflake lurking somewhere, but it’s the sort of humour I don’t mind. I think most of us that worked in difficult jobs tend to have a rather dark sense of humour.

My thoughts are with you today Dave. I can't imagine how hard it's going to be for you today and your stress levels wil be through the roof. A funeral is probably the hardest thing we can go through for our loved ones, but take heart in the knowledge that this is the final journey you can take with Mrs Dave. And it is a way of showing your love and respect for her. We are here for you. X

Coooooeee. 12 deg here and I have no doubt it will be another hot one

Not much planned for today so I will potter in my workroom. I have a new project to do. I made a light bottle out of a Southern Comfort bottle. MR WD of course has said he will sacrifice himself and drink more so that he can supply me with more bottles. What a hero.

I have the task of driving over to Amersham to water my son's greenhouse. He is on holiday and has recently found the gardening bug.
No doubt I can find a nice pub somewhere nearby for a spot of lunch whilst I'm out.

Doctors today. Lupus acting up and although I feel fine it can be dangerous as it can attack the heart so doubtless they'll want to give me a mini MOT.

Off on a bike ride with my slow friend this morning. Ah well 30 miles is 30 miles no matter what the speed.

She's not really slow but she won't come out of the big ring on hills so grinds up slowly, and she slows down when she chats

Off to Stoke On Trent this morning are fortnightly stroll along the canal towpath Coffee at the Joules
brewery for coffee then into Stone the Spoon for lunch

@Dave7. Thinking of you on this very difficult day. Try to focus on the good memories if possible. I still think of my mum sitting at the kitchen table with my two aunt drinking tea and eating some home made cake smiling and setting the world/family to right.
