I haven't posted for a few days because we have been on a "small boat" cruise around the Isle of Mull
included Fingal's Cave and several other features close by
ALl the time living on a small boat (more like very small ship) that used to be a long range lifeboat/rescue craft

3 crew - skipper, cook/chef and 'Bosun' aka deck hand and general "do everything else" person

absolutely great holiday!!!

saw amazing scenery that can only be seen from the sea and visited a lot of deserted anchorages - and saw loads of wildlife

Only 8 passengers - max capacity! - and everyone got on well

anyway - came back last night and very glad to get back to our own bed - the cabons are quite small (i.e. very small) and, although the beds were comfortable, sleeping was a problems due to the temperature and worry about falling out!

Anyway - we will be returning!

In 2020 we visited Vietnam and Cambodia and had two boat trips, three days on Ha Long Bay and four on the Mekong. Both were memorable, the Mekong in particular. I don't think I would enjoy what many call a "cruise" but your trips sounds great fun. I'm hoping we might have a river cruise next year.

Landed on Staffa 6-7 years ago. An excellent trip.

Good day on a sunny, pleasantly cool morning. Haven't managed a walk today as I slept very badly. Awake at 1.30, eventually got up, brew read etc. before back to bed at 6.30 for a couple of hours kip.

Not sure what we will do today but it will involve an hour or so in the Tropical Paradise pool. This is the only "free" activity on site! It's actually very good and not full of noisy children.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Back from town and picked up Mr WD tablets from the quacks, well the super duper newly re opened hospital in Mach. Lots of staff wandering around, but only 2 people that i assume we're patients waiting to see someone. Millions spent on rebuilding and I have no idea what they are doing there now for certain with the exception that the local GP'S are now based there as well. And of course they have a dentist who did sod all in the old surgery and who now does sod all again but in newer surroundings.

Market say in Mach and there was the usual collection of tat and junk.

I was glad to get home.

Folks......your support will be much appreciated today as it is the funeral of my much loved MrsD.
The hearse will leave from my house ar 09.30 with the family travelling behind (this is the family's wish.....I prefer a simple afair but I am OK with their preference).
A light pub buffet will follow).
I am crying as I type this so god knows how I will get through the funeral**
** My SiL is taking this. It is his wish as he really loved my wife (hated me but loved my wife 😀).
