Getting old but not past it
Location
North Wales
Following my wife's advice, I have phoned back my doctor's and have an appointment for Sunday at 12.10 for the vaccin. She said shingles can be very nasty on older people so better to be safe than sorry.

I've just had a text message from my doctor reminding me of tomorrows appointment.
I didn't know I had an appointment, although I was waiting for one to come through.
It's for steroid injections into my arthritic knee to see if it reduces the pain and inflammation. 💉

Good luck! Hope it works for you.

Well the rain didn't come to much and the thunder didn't materialise so once again they got it all wrong.
Been laying down for a few hours, migraine gone from 11 to about 5 so improved but still grotty. I don't get them as bad as Dsughter #1, but when I do they usually set in for two or three days.

Never had migraine, they say it can be quite bad, hope it goes soon

Among our house plants is an African Violet, from the time we brought it till six months ago it lived in the lounge and flowered regularly, six months ago I moved it into the kitchen because the light was brighter there, all the care guides I read said it needed bright light, it did nothing in the kitchen, a week ago I moved it into the lounge again because our money plant had out grown its spot on the kitchen windowsill and I needed a new spot for it, this morning I noticed the African Violet is coming into flower.

The Boots version, yes.

See your GP.

Mrs SD used Sumotriptan for Cluster Headaches.

Tabs: useless, don't kick in for about 40-60 mins. Weak as they come.

Inhaler: good, takes 20 mins to kick in. Decent effect.

Injection: amazing, kicks in after <5mins. Kills the pain totally but leaves you feeling floored. Handy when your beloved is bashing her head on the patio due to the intense pain!

Have you been checked for Cluster Headaches? Mrs SD thought she had Migraines until she was sent to Neurologist for consultation and scans. GP's know naff all about them and we only found out through some solid research. Nasty ****ards though.
