I respect your sentiment but for us that doesn't work.

Routines & schedules don't feature in our world.

Had enough of that in our corporate careers.

Nor do they in ours I might think I’ll do so and so on certain days but that is not cast in stone. The only thing that we do is every two weeks we meet with Jill and Alan on a Thursday either in Stoke or in Desford

After 67 years of working to routines and schedules I refuse to being governed by self imposed schedules

I like a bit of structure and routine, but its not set in stone.

Same here. After 26 years of working shifts and having to do certain things at certain times, it’s nice just to potter through my days any way I like now.

Some people will say that if we don’t have schedules we lack structure in our lives. Mrs p and myself may
decide to do something the next before going to bed but even that can be open to last minute change.

Holidays.Family events are often marked on the calendar but that is all

Horses for courses.

But the important thing is maintain a structure to your well earned free time. After fifty or more years of work routine, it's good to maintain a similar thing.

Why?
A change is as good as a rest.

Good news and bad news. Stimulated by comments in here I solved my scuffed paintwork problem. I remembered a chat with a local car valet guy about the "vintage" Audi A4 he's restoring. He mentioned and showed me where he'd resprayed a couple of panels. Bobbed into see him, damage inspected and agreed to do the job provided I got the paint. He described the work as mentioned in here.

I've found paint suppliers who you give the registration number to, they match the colour and supply the aerosol can! Result. £20 paint + £40 labour.

Bad news? I'm wide awake. Mrs P got up, went to spare room and woke me despite creeping around.

Morning. Not sure why I’m up as we have a wet day in prospect. I just can’t lie in bed if I’m not sleeping.

I am with you Mo.....well not literally of course. I was up at 0430 as I was just lying there awake.
Busy day today....
1. Making a chicken curry to leave in the slow cooker.
2. Put bedding in the washer.....and put clean on.
3. Have a shower
4. Being taken out for lunch at a nice Chinese.
5. Not sure if there is tennis or cycling on this afternoon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Coooooeeee. A very wet day here for us. My daughter and SIL are moving today. They are doing it themselves as the cost of removing companies these days is stupid, so it's going to be a very wet soggy moving day for them.

The head of the teddy bear i made for her has started to wobble apparently, so I have to fix that.

I have thrown the ingredient for a loaf of bread into the bread maker, so hopefully we will have fresh bread in around 4 hours if I have the settings right. If not, then we will have a soggy goo to look forward to.

Stay safe peeps. :hello:
