Good morning from a cloudy Barnet. No rain as yet, but it's on the way.

Some good news yesterday, for seven years I have been chasing the north London health authority to pay for some of late father's care when he had dementia and other health problems.
Yesterday after a flurry of emails as I hadn't heard anything from them since March, they came up with a reimbursement figure of £44.000.😁
After accepting this, I got another email in the evening to say I should receive it in a couple of weeks.
My brother will get his half, so a very nice bonus.

This afternoon I have an escape committee meeting, although only a couple of members will be attending.

Before that, Sainsbury's are delivering the fortnightly delivery and I'll get the dog out before the rain comes.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Hi folks ^_^ enjoyed yesterdays ride with just the occasional light shower, didnt meet another cyclist in 30 miles apart from 2 at Golspie sea front. Re-car cosmetics....i really couldnt care less about a ding or a dent...if when buying a car theres a reduction in price for a dent i wouldnt mind if they went over it with a baseball bat if it considerably lowered the price  Ive only ever viewed boxes on wheels as utilitarian and reliability is my only concern.
Wet n windy her this morning-at least i dont need to water anything in the garden ^_^

Good morning folks, second Friday and it's off to Weymouth for a few beers and lunch with the group. Will take it easy as my arm/ shoulder is giving me some serious grief intermittently. Had to buy some new trousers yesterday for next weeks funeral, several weeks of no running or cycling plus a fair bit of comfort eating means I now possess a pair of chinos with a 34" waist 😮

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Well, I got soaked :rain:  It was only a faint drizzle when I set out so didn't bother with over trousers which was a mistake. Had to peel the leggings and socks off when I got back. Typically it started to ease again a few minutes from the door.

I think today might just involve watching the men's semi finals at the tennis and switching over to watch the cycling occasionally depending on how good the matches are.

Very good news but it is so wrong that you are forced to wait like that.

I used to watch tennis and F1 but I don't anymore as I find them boring. Mind you, nothing beats cricket or darts for boredom.
