Another lousy sleep.I have no idea what has gone wrong.Sleep has been crap since coming back from America.I might go to Superdrug and get some herbal sleeping pills.A bit wet here this morning.I knew last night it would rain i cut the lawn ha ha.Well todays game is find the parcel.Coffee sent from YORK carried by Royal Mail goes to Warrington hub then Hounslow hub Mrs P has not looked where it is this morning.York is only twenty seven miles the long way round on a bicycle,i have volunteered to fetch it next time.

Still got headache. Minding D finishes school at lunchtime so sitting down until I go meet the bus.
The nice thing about being retired is having the world to ourselves during the week. 6 weeks of kids on holiday and workies on leave cluttering the place up are not good,

Well, after loads of rain it is turning up nice now and the sun is out. I took Molly for a long walk and met some friends on the way back.
The other day, I noticed that the water butt was rather smelly and dirty inside so I might clean it up but it will need emptying first. The gutter on my shed will also need attention as it collects leaves which of course , feed into the water butt, hence the smell of decay into the water.
If I don't do it today, it will be done soon though, may be tomorrow .......or the next few days?

Well a little walk around the garden saw me doing a bit of weeding.I only weeded two weeks ago and before America.Then it was time to empty another bag of spuds.These spuds are superb.Then for a triple i turned over the soil for the new flower bed coming in September,so that should be the last time.Retirement thread did we say.

Another walk done round the outskirts of the town. Sometimes I wish I could afford to move as it's just getting busier and busier here. Never so glad to get back onto my own street and into the house and shut the door. They're still building hundreds more houses so it's just going to get even worse.

I have cleaned the gutter on my shed but haven't done the water butt as it is full to the brim and I think it would be a shame to waste all that water so I will wait until we use most of it and then drain it and clean it.
Watching the TdF now passing through my SiL's birth area. She lives in Orleans now married to my youngest brother who will be 60 next month.

I have virtually completed my anties afairs/papework.
Just need to send proof of PoA to her energy supplier SO .........
1. My photocopier has decided not to work so
2. Went to the Post Office, to find theirs has packed in so
3. Went to the library, only to find its closed for the day.
4. Tried a neighbour to find his has packed in

Morning just got back from metal detecting, as soon as I got on the beach a woman from one of the beach huts came running down and said
“can you find my wedding ring I lost it yesterday”
Where about said I
“well out there pointing at the beach”
so I spent two hours looking found loads of rusty nails, but no ring, on walking back the couple came up to me and said “no luck then” I said no sorry and the woman started to cry, the man put £5 into my hand and said “thanks for trying”, but I gave it back, but he insisted so £5 better off
£2.50 per hour , 2 hours . Make sure to declare this income to the tax people in UK revenue !
