Back from Taunton.
Couldn't get what we wanted from B&M, B&Q, Argos or Sainsbury's. Waste of time really.
Went back to Watchet, had lunch in the Bell and ordered the stuff we wanted online whilst we were there.
Oh, the joys of living in the back of beyond.

I buy everything online accept food as I can't be arsed to go in to town, pay for fuel, parking and then find it's out of stock, it's just as easy to pay the p&p and sit back and wait for a knock at the door

I was also up at stupid O'clock as I was lying there awake.
Still need to get mine and the aunties bank accounts sorted out. I really hate doing that.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Coventry, washings out, last couple of days have been crap so I'm hoping for a better day today.

Good morning fellow retirees.
Following all the kerfuffle around Mrs TKK's brother dying intestate, we have decided to have our wills done. We did have two wills drawn up by a local solicitor many years ago, but the office is no longer around and we didn't have a copy to keep at home ( as far as I can remember) .
I suppose it is best to use a " proper " Solicitor than one of these cut price jonnies, after all the cost will be coming from the kids inheritance.
Any one had recent experience?

I have done a will myself - was quite easy

but we are talking about getting it done properly, especially as there is a slight complication with mine (long story!)

anyway - I'm up because grandkids are coming at about 8ish

bloomin school holidays!!

(I didn;t used to say that much when I was a school teacher!)

also turns out that SWMBO has a hair appointment at noon - so I guess I'll be herding cats on my own for couple of houts
(2 hours!!! - mine takes 10 minutes!!!!)
