Good morning folks, I've been watching the Moto GP sprint race from Japan, my Good Ladies still sleeping, not a lot to do today, but that was the plan.

one of my grandsons has a slipper that he keeps especially for spiders.
Stay safe peeps.
I usually leave them alone, my Good Lady doesn't like them so if she spots one I usually have to evict it if I can, but otherwise I'm not bothered by them.

Off to have our Flu jabs at 12 o'clock today.
All this talk of spiders! We currently have 'Big Sid' (he's about 3" across and probably female - I haven't enquired about pronouns yet) wandering around our bedroom. I'm sure he has a sense of humour - always popping up in an unexpected place. Sometimes he won't move for a day, just hanging on the ceiling above the bed. Other days he'll run across the carpet. He was quite adventurous last week and made his way into our en suite and hid in my bath towell. Gave me quite a jump shock when he ran up my arm as I was drying myself!

The sun is up and shining nicely.
MrsP is off to art class in the grounds of a local house for a few hours so I am free for a long walk with the dog. The temperature outside is perfect for walking.
I might get a bimble on the bike later as well. To good to waste the nice weather staying indoors.

Walked up the hill to the War Memorial Hall to get my Flu jab. I was first to arrive and they were still setting up but a kind lady said " I'll do you now " then apologised as the single dose syringes were fresh out of the fridge. As I was leaving I asked " any chocolates this year " and one of the ladies said " Oh yes! " and headed to a table at the back of the hall which was laden with about 8 boxes of quality street. She ended up giving me two purple ones - result!

I've been in the loft sorting stuff / tidying up before the surveyor arrives on Monday. Lots of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and various nooks and crannies. Saw someting crawling over a joist and thought it was a wood louse, but closer inspection revealed that it was a Ladybird.

Back from my walk. Nice and cool this morning so good for walking.
I try not to kill any spiders or other creepy crawlies if I can help it. They all have a right to live their little lives. I tried to drop a duster over it last night so I could catch it and stick it out the window but it scuttled out and went under the tv unit so I just left it.

Mrs TKK is talking about the practicalities of transplanting the Rohloff 14 speed hub from her custom built Roberts touring bike to her Brompton as she's finding it " increasingly difficult to get my legover " ( yes, I know. you can all stop tittering now 😁)
I'm not sure if there would be any residual value in the bike once the hub is gone, but it seems like an expensive project.
Might be better to sell the Roberts as is and put the money towards a new built from someone such as Ben from Kinetics. Hmm lots to ponder...

Would the Rohloff hub fit into a Brompton wheel and frame?
