Getting old but not past it

One of our neighbours passed away last Monday at only 51 years of age so I went over to offer my condolences to her husband earlier and as we got talking he said: " I am thinking of getting a bike so if I do , can I go for a ride with you? " I couldn't say no could I? Let's see what happens now.
