Popped into the Co-op for a couple of things on the way home from my walk and had a browse of the herbal teas. I struggle to find one I really enjoy but picked up a Twinings Spiced Ginger to try and have to say it's not bad.

I took a bit of a shine to Ginger Spice...

I am painting. I am losing the will to live. The second coat might be enough thank god. After this only have the window to paint and the ceiling. Then we need new flooring, and the cupboard doors need sanding and painting, then that's it. Phew

Its been chaos round here on the school run this morning, we've got two schools and a nursery by us and a third school near by, they've closed off the main road for resurfacing from the bus depot at the bottom of the hill up to the bus stop at the top of the hill closing off several side roads, we don't normally see any school traffic up our road just those walking to school but we've had a queue of traffic stretching most of the length of the road.

I usually even manage to get it in my hair. Go to run my fingers through it later in the day and suddenly notice a sticky bit.

I missed my hair this time but I do tend to end up with paint in mine

There are loads of new houses being built around here. They are popping up everywhere I go but all out of our price range , so there must be lots of people with big mortgages I guess. Those days are gone for me. We are mortgage free and very happy about it.

It's a good feeling when it's finally paid off.
MrsP and me finished ours 2 years early. We had big grins on our face at the counter of our local Nationwide when we handed over a cheque for the £5500 that was owing. That was in 2009.

I've had two mortgages, when I payed off the first I immediately started paying the second, I finally got rid of that in 2008 when we moved house having been paying mortgages since 1982. Its a lovely feeling when that happens, I suddenly had money to spend for the first time for years.
