I is back home after our
carvery lunch. There were just 4 of us and one had a daughter working there so we got staff discount. 4 meals plus drinks for £32 is good value.
My legs still won't listen to my brain but improved as the day went by.
Hopefully be better tomorrow....onwards and upwards 🙂

That’s excellent value. Must have been a good discount. I find you can barely get a main course anywhere these days for much under £15.

I've survived both the dentist and the Wake, the dentist wants me back next week for a couple of fillings, the funeral was for one of the neighbours, a lovely fella who was in poor health towards the end, his wife is good friends with my Good Lady, they gave him a lovely send off, we couldn't attend the funeral it self but went to the wake.

This happened to us three weeks ago,we were late back from Edinburgh,so a pizza place. They were taking no more walk ins.The assistant manager is my daughters pal from school and when possible they hang out together.A table was cleaned and we sat down. Two pizzas shared between three ,three drinks final bill £19 and a few pence,a 20% tip was left.Assistant managers perks.

Walked round to the cemetery to mum's grave. I managed to find a very realistic bunch of artificial flowers and have put them down. Fresh flowers are lovely, but at this time of year they die so quickly and then just look horrible. Hopefully these will be reasonably weather resistant and look nice for a while.

It's warming up slightly now.

I have to use artificial flowers on my wife’s grave as anything else is eaten the first night by red deer. They even have had a taste of the artificial ones sometimes.

MIL and FIL are in our small local cemetary. Last time I went to pay my respects a new grave was being dug. The guy was standing in the grave digging it out with a shovel. He was quite portly and Father Christmas looking and I stopped and had a bit of a natter with him. Fascinating to here the stories of some of the local characters who are buried there, the Cemetary borders heathland and he was saying anything left gets eaten by the deer and other creatures.

Good day to all ....have a smile on me 🙂.
I thought I had slept in late but got up to find it was only 05.30.
Legs are working better today.....happy about that.
Just sat listening to R2 at the moment.
Todays plans are simple.......weekly lunchtime pub visit with my neighbour.
Food will be left overs from my son's weekend cooking ie chicken, various veg and gravy.
