My running coach Greg tells me that I should run for 80 minutes this morning in preparation for the 1/4 marathon on New Year's Day. ( Greg is built into the Garmin app / watch)
I've had a couple of real life coaches over the 40+ years I've been running, one was a Glaswegian and an ex boxer, a lovely guy but hard as nails. Any complaints about training in the cold and wet would be answered with " it's like July in Aberdeen " . He regularly reminded me that running was my hobby and to be enjoyed, and in the dark winter months to " stay on the pavement "

I may have said this previously but I used to enjoy running. Nowhere near your league though. I managed to get to half marathons but my knee/leg ligaments wouldn't allow me to go further.
But I used to enjoy it.

Started young, and still going.
Good morning all.
My second mug of tea is being drunk.
The rain is falling nicely and is due to continue for most of the day.
I'm meeting up with my son for a burrito lunch at midday.
It'll be a wet and soggy dog walk, I have broken out the Wellies as the fields and paths are now very sodden.
Enjoy your day everyone.

In Ireland my team manager describe rain during training sessions as "liquid sunshine". We are getting a lot of said sunshine this week :rain:

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
The weather is turning here. Its gone dark, and I can feel rain in the air. And we are getting gusts as well. I've put my car in the garage just in case things start flying around and hit my car.

When people start giving inanimate objects a name, you know there's a problem.

Morning. Been awake for ages but my bed was cosy and I could hear the rain so just lay there for a bit longer.

Start of another month. Time is going past faster and faster

New series of Shetland tonight. I just hope the new female lead is ok. Quite a hard act to follow so might take a few episodes to get used to her.

Looking forward to the new series.

Started watching Bodies on Netflix Needs full attention as it spans several years
