I’ve not have the best of days so far . Woke up feeling rough but better than I have for a couple of day.
Decided to go to volunteering. So got everything ready, tools , gloves, hat, buff, old coat and waterproofs, cakes for our coffee break as it my birthday today 😀 and some paper work I needed to deliver while I was over in Leamington.
When I got there, I realised the only things I had picked up and put in the car was my coat and waterproofs and the cakes 😂😂😂😂😀😀.
So I left the cakes with them and came home to pick up the paperwork as it has to be in by Friday afternoon and I am busy all day tomorrow.
I hope they are enjoying the cakes as they should be eating them about now . 😀

Hope you had a nice birthday !!

Morning. It’s dry and a bit milder.

Mug of decaf and a browse then I’ll head out.

Sadly we don't bounce like we used to. Hope all is well.

Thanks Dave.
It's the reason I gave up motorcycle road racing.......they started making the tarmac harder.

Good morning all.
Went to bed late (for me) as I sat up listening to some CDs. Feeling groggy but must change the bedding and put it in the washer.
Daughter is calling again later.....she worked miracles yesterday removing many various items relating to Sue that I couldn't bring myself to get rid of (too painful**).
**that is conversation, not a plea for sympathy.

I'm up and had breakfast

Was looking to go for a ride but the forecast says it will rain and the weatehr radar seems to agree

just as well as the kitchen light is broken and I really should take it down and see if it is fixable
- which it almost certainly isn;t so that give me time to look for a new one and put it up

it is either that or carry on trying to cook in the evening feeling like I am in a coal mine using the light of a tallow candle 50 yards away round a corner!

Oh - and I need to get someone to look at the kitchen tap as it is dripping
hopefully they will fix it as well!

Had a great day yesterday. My daughter got married.
Ceremony at Coalville Register Office
Reception at Twycross Zoo.
You may ask reception at a zoo.It was brilliant Good food and company
A lot of Ann’s friends who I had never met or some I had met a many year’s ago.

Ann had insisted on dress be casual but smart and no speeches but she did OK me toasting the bride and groom
All in all it made for a most enjoyable day .

Right - so fixing the kitchen ceiling light

sooo

first job - knock off the contact breaker for the lights
second job check
hmmm - light still tries to work (it flickers)
OK - I know the wiring is a bit weird - tried the kitchen breaker, which should just be the sockets but...
no help
tried oven - no

OK think......
(maybe should have tried that atthe start)

you know when you look at a ceiling light - then you look UP
and you look at the "use box" and there is a diagram that shows a light at the top of a box
that doesn;t mean lights at the top of the room - it means upstairs
clue - the one next to it has the light at the bottom of the box

I'm an idiot
