Tesco shop done, half term so the roads were nice and quiet, I gave my Good Lady a shock when I got back, she hasn't been involved with the shopping for about three years and wasn't aware of how much the cost of the weekly shop has risen, I gave her the till receipt when I got back, she wasn't impressed.

Ann had insisted on dress be casual but smart and no speeches but she did OK me toasting the bride and groom
All in all it made for a most enjoyable day .

Sounds good....best wishes to everyone concerned.

Yup - my wife hasn;t done any shopping since she moved in - nearly 10 year s ago

I muttered a few months ago abou tthe credit card bill - everything goes on it and it is paid off every month

but I was commenting about how it is massively higher than it was a few years ago - and in those days we went out to eat at least once a week

she was rather shocked at how much I spend - but nothing was unusual
(by which I mean there was no bike stuff!)

I do the shopping as I am the driver. I also look after all the bills and make sure they are paid. I've done this for 50 years. Mr WD has no idea how much things cost accept for the food as he comes with me.

When I got married my wife took over the home accounts, I was working 7 days a week and she did all the banking ect
One month she bought a lot of clothes for her and the baby, she said it's OK as the bank balance was quite healthy........
she forgot the mortgage.......and was £200 in the red.............I did it after that

Off to work today. Working part time at a bicycle dealership is the best part of retirement. I get to build and work on bicycles and they give me money to do it! We are a factory owned store so there is some corporate crap for the store manger to deal with… lotsa zoom meetings and reporting of numbers, oh how I do not miss that garbage!

The other day I was handed a very expensive Cervelo roadbike that a customer had left for a full brake service. Two hours later I had learned a lot and had a greater appreciation for my old Dia Comp Center pulls… all the power I need without the hydraulic mess!

I even get my bikes and parts cheap!

50 years!! You don't look old enough.

Mr WD is losing his marbles. He cut his finger yesterday and put a plaster on it. He changed the plaster this morning and ended up not only putting the replacement plaster on the wrong finger, but on the wrong hand as well.

I’m glad I’m not the only one I can put a tool down I’ve just used Five minutes later I can’t find it.🤪🤪🤪
