Hia Mo ^_^
Please tell me why I was sat here at 0530 when the bed was nice and warm!
Not as cold today.....forecast says 1° but feeling like minus 1°.
We had some snow overnight but not much.
Me thinks it will be a chill day.
BTW
Peter Kay has a 1 hour special on R2 at 10.00......I must listen to that.

Enjoy your walk Mo.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Cooooeeee. A bit of a difference to yesterday's minus temps and hard frost and a bit of snow. Now we have 1 deg, the frostt has gone as well. We had a lot of rain overnight and it must have made driving treacherous what with ice roads then rain

Stay safe peeps :hello:

Good morning all.
The frost and the thick mist has gone and the temperature is a heady 1⁰. We have rain forecast for the next few days.
Our daughter is coming to see us later, no doubt with a washing basket full of stuff to go in the tumble drier. She does look after our dog when we're away, so she has built up quite a tumble drier credit tokens.
She'll probably stay for dinner as well.
MrsP has got the wunderlust at the moment, after the Canadian and Alaskan trip this year, she is looking at going to the Galapagos islands next year. She has found a company that specializes in long distance travel to exotic shores.
Look like we will be spending more of the kids inheritance soon.

One of my ex colleagues is away on a really long cruise just now. 93 days. Not sure it would be my type of holiday but she's a very gregarious person and seems to make friends everywhere she goes. She lost her husband about a year ago.

Sounds like a good idea. If my legs would allow it is something I would seriously think about. BUT only 21 days I think.

I am a naughty boy.......I have just scoffed an "all butter luxury mince tart". Must say, it hit the spot.
Lunch will be lamb curry with chips and rice (or maybe with rice and chips) ^_^

Slept in two beds last night. Granddaughter had a sleepover, she settles in her own bed and then comes in with us and we read a story together. When I got up for a pee in the night she had sprawled out and so it was off to the unheated back bedroom for me. Mrs Tkk is a constant crocheter while watching TV, so we have a lot of colourful patterned bed spreads. I threw one on top of the Duvet and slept the sleep of the innocent.

WITTY COMMENT.

The 4 big cooling towers at Fiddlers Ferry (Warrington) are being brought down today.
The Warrington Gurdian states ......... "it will take just 10 seconds and consist of 2 short bangs close together".
Someone has replied and the Guardian has printed this.........
"Sounds like me and the missus on a Sunday morning".

The towers came down just after 9:30 - I saw it from my couch - by using the "live stream"

heard a single dull thud/crack and that was it
over a minute later the "live stream" made the same noise and the towers just fell in one very quick go

rather an anticlimax really

which is probably a definition of success for the engineers working out how to do it!

anyway - another 4 to go - no timescale yet

Oh - it is nearly Noon - local weather stations (on Wundermap) are saying 1 or 2 degrees
