Just looked at my Garmin history. My last pre lurgy run was on the 6th November. It's cold, grey and miserable out there at the moment, but I feel the urge to brave the elements and head out for a short walk / jog.

Go for it! You can start off walking and break into a gentle jog if the legs/lungs feel ok.

I’ve just had the Ombudsman on the phone as OVO are playing silly beggars again and mucked up my account yet again so he is happy to reopen the case.

Morning all.
Very little to report today apart from the bedroom radiator that pleases itself whether to work at all. I will have to bite the bullet and get an expert in.

Have you got thermostic radiator valves?
If so, you can unscrew the valve, and see if the pin that goes into the actual valve bit is stuck closed/down.
You should be able to push the pin down with your finger. If it is stuck down you can get a pair of pliers and gently move the pin until it pops up. Then a touch of oil and a wipe and all should be ok.

Keep an eye on that nearby hill, just in case four men on horseback appear.

They appeared on a hill overlooking Athens once, it was the Four Horsemen of the Acropolis...

My tentative jog went OK. Just over 2km, enough to remind the body to get moving on a more regular basis. My enforced period of relative inactivity has brought to the fore just how important regular exercise is to me. I experience fewer aches and pains, lower resting heart rate, improved flexibility and better posture.
On a completely unrelated note, have I told you what an utter bunch of heartless bastards British Gas are?

Starting to wonder if all the utility companies are the same. I've got a tension headache getting myself all uptight about my Ovo account again. Just trying to chill a bit now with a mug of chamomile tea.

It's Mrs Tkk that is bearing the brunt. When her brother died she was handling his estate as he hadn't left a will. Barely enough money to cover the costs and pay all the bills off. We handed the keys back to the council and took final meter readings. When the final bills arrived everything was paid and we got notification of a £.00 balance. It looks like the Council have been doing a lot of much needed refurbishment work before letting it out to new tenants. We started getting bills addressed to Mrs Tkk under " The estate of the late xxx " Hours on the phone, assurances that all would be sirted, confirmation of nothing owing etc. Then a reminder would come, more phone calls and empty promises. Contacted the Ombudsman who advised to have no further contact as a period had to elapse before they could become involved. A week ago Mrs TKK had a phonecall from a lady at British Gas, heartfelt aoplogies, this shoud never happen everything is now closed etc. Then this morning a letter threatening to debt collectors...

Horrible......we went through a period of threatening/debt collectors...even though it was really for someone else with the same name. It's very unpleasant.
