Morning folks a strange thudding knock on the door this morning....so upon opening it i was surprised to see a polar bear! "can i come in for a cuppah cuz its too ****** cold for me and im a polar bear" Sure i said and made him some coffee and cheese on toast, "ah thats better" said the bear, im off down the camping shop to get some thermals cuz its too freaking cold"!

Is that the truth ?

Just found a picture of a playground for kids from the 1970s

One hell of a long slide

not even the standard nice soft concrete or tarmac to land on

a proper wall to hit and fall off on the way down


apparently it was dubbed "Uniquely dangerous and only fit for demolition"

If I was still a boy of the right age I would have loved it

not totally sure my Mum would have thought - although she was quite happy to let me play on the nice slides in Arrrow Park!

Arrow Park eh......in the 50s we would go there to collect conkers. There was one particular tree that us braver/stupid lads would climb. It's a wonder none of us got killed.
To think we would walk there from Seacombe.....mind blowing really.

Back from shopping, well I was back by 12 to be honest. 70 mile round trip to do the shopping and to pick up Mr WD tablets.

We had lots of sun but it's going cold again. We might just miss the snow here.

I had another little walk. Still baltic out there. I hope we miss any snow tomorrow as it won't be pleasant if we get any snow that then freezes.

Personally I doubt we will get snow. However the weather forecast says we will.

Different forecasts say different things.

Persuaded to race this morning against my better judgement as still definitely recovering🤒, afraid I showed very poor etiquette and sat on their last placed riders wheel for 20km like a limpet before jumping him with 400m to go 😇 still every point counts👍

Pretty cold down here at the moment -1⁰C and dropping. The snow is going to miss the south east of the country we are told.
