That will be me shortly. The only thing missing will be a grill for eg cheese on toast.
Which hob did you go for ?

Ah, we’ve had ours quite some time: since a big kitchen fit in 2008 - a Stoves range with the induction top. Still works like new: well….one knob falls off on occasion….which we can’t see as a reason to replace it, despite the modern version having that very grill you mention!

Some friends recently got a Neff one which has a physical knob to control, but is itself magnetic, to allow for easy cleaning - looks good!

Morning. :cold: again. To be freezing all week then a sudden change on Saturday when it’s to get a lot milder, but of course wet.

Some snow forecast tomorrow, but sometimes it misses us.

Good morning, second cup of coffee is being consumed. Not looked out of the window yet but know it's cold out there " like July in Aberdeen " 😁
Going to pop down to Argos and pick up some new kitchen scales, our old one was eating batteries and I realised one of the buttons was stuck in the on position.
Only managed a slow 5k yesterday, didn't realise how much fitness I'd lost, will head out again this morning as long as it's not icy underfoot

Speaking of the cold, when our Solar was installed in November we had the Battery and controls sited in the outhouse which is unheated. The battery is weatherproof anyway and works down to minus temperatures, but being a bit paranoid I put a small fan heater in there and plugged it into a "Smart" switch that had been monitoring the amount of electricity the tumble dryer was using, the idea being to switch on the heater should the battery temperature drop towards freezing . When we returned home on Friday I noticed that the battery was nearly depleted which was a bit of a puzzle. I wandered out to the outhouse to find it toasty warm! I'd forgotten that I'd set a timer on the Smartplug to switch on between 8:00am and 8:00pm, so the fan heater had been running for the best part of the day and drained about 12kW out of the battery. Silly billy me 😁
