They still couldn't just drill on the land though
They could tunnel under it.

Morning all fellow retirees.
The wind seems to of gone a bit quiet now. The forecast for today is sunny intervals with a fresh breeze.
we are meeting up with our son at lunchtime and the going for a walk with the dog before he goes off to play squash at the club he belongs to.

Morning folks, this unrelenting wind is a PTA  it actually came knocking on my door this morning....blew the letter box loud enough to wake me up, A crofting neighbour down the road had roofing blow off her cattle shed which travelled a 1/4 mile before going through her windscreen! Like sensible Mo i shall wait until this afternoon before going for a walk :okay:

Morning all :hello:

It's calmed down a lot out there now.
Off to Minehead later on the Bus.
It was weird seeing my niece and nephew at my brothers funeral yesterday. Hadn't seen them since they were young children; she's now married with two adult children, he's fat, bald and on his 2nd marriage.
Time flies!
The service was pretty good and the celebrant did a decent job, although I didn't recognise the angelic picture he painted of my brother. Must have written it for someone else.

Morning all. A wild night but no damage that I know of. We uses to regularly lose ridge tiles in strong winds due to the layout and general wind direction......then I had them all stripped and refixed and I think (hope) the problem has gone.
Bedroom is being fitted out today, hope that goes well.

RIght i'm up

we are looking after grandkids this afternoon - plus all the picking up from school stuff for the oldest

in the meantime I have had a text from teh GP reminding me of my appointment on the 29th

which was a surprise as it is the first I have heard of it!
going online it looks like a minor procedure - possibly just an injection

soI will go down there ina bit and check - sometimes best to do these things face-to-face
rather worrying - could be they have just got the wrong person - which is worrying
or they are thinking of things they have not told me - which is more worrying

not sure this change of GPs is going well!!

Morning all. Wilder than a wild thing still in county Durham. Wifebot has just walked the hound and reported that there was a geezer erupting under a neighbours van, probably the mains supply which seems weird as it hasn't been near freezing since Friday, unless it's taken this long to thaw 😯 Another neighbour had an unsecured plastic storage box that as gone for a wander and taken another shed with it, don't think the farmer was too happy at the extra work 💨💨💨
