Ok i have the details of this years holiday.San Francisco to Seattle then a seven day Alaskan cruise. All done with Titan Tours oh boy this is going to be superb.I have never done a cruise before.I have been on Roundhay Park Lake and Scarborough Bay.plus out of Whitby Harbour. But i think this might be a little bit different,i like the sound of resting for seven days.Don'y worry it won't turn my head,i will still talk to all of you.

Sounds great. MrsP and myself did a similar cruise, but from Vancouver last September, along with the Rocky Mountaineer train from Banff, and various wildlife spotting trips out from a place called Jasper.

We went on the Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon (about 7 years ago - or 6 - or 8 - whatever!)

it was brilliant - you will love it

We did it from Canada but doing it from the US side will probably be better as you won't have the first day of the cruise spent in a giant warehouse waiting to get "into America" - took 5 hours for passport and customs!

It was worth it in the end though!

I remember the departure shed in Vancouver. It was very busy as Two Ships were departing that day. It didn't take 5 hours to get through though. The US border terriers are quite fierce in my opinion.

Went onto Facebook earlier and managed to track down a motorcycle I owned when I was 17.
Recently sold to someone near Plymouth for £5500.
I paid £159 for it in 1972.
The sellers have forwarded my contact details to the current owner with a view to me buying it. We shall see. It's nice to know that it's still around.

It looks like i will need a posh outfit for one meal on board the ship on my holiday.I am just going up to find my blazer it could be at least 25 years old. This should be a laugh.See you all later.
Well the blazer looks ok.A bit dated but i am not buying another,i did find something at the back of the wardrobe that i was surprised still fitted me.I was so pleased i showed Mrs P it's a bloody scarf she said course it still fits.Anyway the ship is named Zaandam, Holland somebody or other, run it and i think my 25 year old blazer with pass muster,it does not sound like a top of the range multi millionaire sort of tug. This down to earth Yorkshireman might last seven days without upsetting our American cousins.

A trip to the Physio in Wimborne with Mrs Tkk. We got off the bus a couple of stops early and walked the more scenic way along the banks of the Allen. River was high and fast flowing, but fortunately no flooded paths to contend with. We passed a new development that backs onto the Allen, only about 20 metres away from the river 😮. It's a gated community for retirees which Mrs Tkk refers to as " Olditz "
