Phew! Job done.
Got it totally stripped and removed all bearings without damaging anything.
I've got another engine in bits on my other bench, so now I can start to build a good one out of the two. :okay:

A bit of advice for you......if you don't mind.
Take the bit near the top and pair it with the bit in the middle but be sure to put that bottom bit in between.

No need to thank me.

Barnet,
Our son came over so went out for a walk with Millie acros the fields and ended up having lunch out at The Orange Tree in Totteridge.
Plenty of people out and about as the sun is shining and the temperature reached 13⁰ today, although still chilly at night time though. The weather looks good for next week too.
MrsP is much happier when it's a bit warmer and the sun shines.

It’s a lovely part of the world. We had two terrific summer holidays in the area staying in Loch Earnhead .
The worrying thing is that is now exactly 30 years ago 😂😀

Were you a British Leyland apprentice by any chance?

On a totally different tack

There was a bloke at the first sailing club I was in who used to be in charge of all the steel used by British Leyland
In fact he still was when I first knew him

Sad really - for many many years he had been having a boat build at a yard somewhere not too far away
whenever he could afford it he paid a bit more and they did a bit more work
he had been at it for years - steadily getting older but looking forward to being able to sail his own boat

Then BL made him redundant - not enough money or pension to live on and finish the boat

so he had to finish the boat and then immediately sell it
never even got to launch it

but Gods he knew about steel and how to order it, transport it, store it etc etc

He was not racist - just VERY pro English and hence anti black and brown people because they should go back to where they beyond
like the Welsh and Scottish
and certainly the French

It was rather difficult talking to him at times!!!
nice bloke otherwise

people are weird

Ahhhhhh….”he was not a racist….” 👀

Sorry, but that definition of who he liked & how he felt very much does make him a racist in my book. I’m sure we want to avoid getting into politics, but that is a pretty xenophobic perspective. I can understand why he would have been difficult to talk to!

Having lived in one of the UKs most diverse multicultural cities for several decades, I feel I have to say that 🤷‍♂

Been involved in a volleyball club which has been going since before I joined in 1985, & we have enjoyed a hugely diverse squad over the years. It’s been a lot of fun for all involved….I used to maintain a welcome sheet that had flags from most of the nationalities who had played with us over the years!
