Good day. Everyone having a lay in this morning? It's dark so I've no idea what the weather is offering, haven't checked the forecast as nothing I need to do is impacted by weather - other than my walk. Got an IT training session this morning with our u3a. I'm sure nothing will be new but it's always useful to have a refresher plus the organiser is a good friend and I like to support him by showing interest. Also means while he's away in Australia for 3-4 months someone else knows what to do in a crisis!

The rest? Well, pick up meds, quick Aldi dash and bob into Specsavers. I bought my first pair of glasses from them this week. Very impressed with the service, staff, etc. The offer includes a 50% discount on a second pair ordered within six months, as I always get two pairs I need to drop by to order these. Tonight is Quiz night and I have to do the one hour bar shift before the actual quizzing begins, I'm in a team.........poor buggers.

:hello: Good morning folks, carers been, she's lovely but a bit too bright and cheerful first thing, the new care provider starts Monday so a new journey begins, I can't say I'll miss Universal Care, though the carers have mostly been good.

Morning all :hello:

Yay! Fish Friday again. :hungry::cheers:
Will be taking the omnibus into town to see what culinary delights are on offer.
Still no news from our Estate Agent. It's so frustrating!

I think its fish Saturday for us tomorrow.

Our cleaner starts back today😃. She left to have a baby but wants to start back.
Our daughter has been good but her work hours have just increased so its good timing

I have to go to the post office in a short while to
A. Send for my new driving licence (registered letter)
B. Tax my car.

Life is so exciting 😶

Our daughter took possession of the keys to her new house yesterday. She’s a little disappointed that the sellers just made a cursory clean up of the property. As it’s only a couple of streets away from where she is at the moment she can move in gradually, as her current rental goes to the end of February.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
I have an appointment at the dentist this morning. Three weeks back I had toothache, saw the dentist and it was infected. Antibiotics cleared that up before I went away.
X ray showed the nerve is dying , so some canal root treatment to remove the root today.
Other than that, our daughter is calling in for tea tonight, so I will be cooking a chicken and sweetcorn pie with veg and mashed potatoes. It will be sweetcorn instead of mushrooms, as she hates mushrooms. 😪
Enjoy your day everyone.

This came up on my memories from three years ago, I like it that he was chased and caught by a copper on a push bike.

"This week in 1896 driver Walter Arnold received Britain's first speeding ticket. He had been caught in a Motor Carriage like this going four times the speed limit - at 8 mph. He was chased and pulled over by a policeman on a bicycle."
