I've spent most of the evening puting together a self assembly computer table, a task made more interesting by a lack of labels telling me which panel was which, I was having to work it out from the drawings on the instructions.

Bit cool this morning but nice and clear.
My Bro SiL are visiting today. We are having pies from the local....To Pie For.....even the web site leaves me drooling.
I am having steak n ale (again🙂). They do a special of pie, mash, peas and gravy which gets rave reviews but I fear is too much for me.

Morning all :hello:

Forecast is very good for the Easter weekend so I expect that the West Country will be chokka. Traffic reports for the M5 and A303 ĺook horrendous already.
I'm staying local and avoiding the main roads and honeypots.
Got to organise my garage today in order to make space for the container load of stuff I'm bringing back from Barnstaple on Tuesday.
Might do a bit of gardening, as well as assemble a bathroom cabinet.

Barnet,
Good morning all fellow retirees.
We have sunny intervals with dark clouds getting in the way.
What's with the annual rush to go away over Easter? There are always traffic queues, crashes, and when you get wherever you're going, it's crowded as everyone else is there.
Fortunately, doing shift work, and working most bank holidays, and weekends I was always able to visit places during the week. I always left early in the morning to get wherever for breakfast, a few hours in front of the herd.
Today will be doing the usual things, and then meeting the escape committee for a pint or three this afternoon.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Trouble is these self assembly things never seem to work. I left a bathroom cabinet in the garage Neatly laid out the parts,It was still there two days later🤪🤪🤪

Well I'm up and awake
no builders today due to the holidays - which is a relief!

I have been informed that I need to go for a haircut before we go away next week - actually we leave on Sunday so that's planned for this morning as the barber's is apparently open today

I tend to always have someone female around to inform be when my hair need sorting out
when I was a teacher in a secondary school I normally had a specific group - either my form group or a class I taught a lot - that would let me know
My last form group actually took great pride in my appearance (as much as they could) and would tell me if my tie or shirt was getting worn out or my hair needed cutting - which the other teachers found weird - but it was actually a troublesome group of kids and they were like angels (most of the time) for me and I actually heard them defending me in the corridors at time
Weird the things you can do to get teenagers on side!!!!

anyway - that and getting stuff washed for hols today!

We usually went away or visited attractions the weekend before or the weekend after.
