No.
There's 'cider' (Strongbow etc) and then there's proper 'CIDER'.
I only drink the latter.

Thanks......I did Makes a rare change for us to be having better weather mind you, but I'll take it.

I see there's a swan sitting on a nest in the reeds at the side of the loch so hopefully see some cygnets before long.

This evening I had my first attempt at making icing. I used the Gold Strike Liqueur as the liquid medium and 100g of icing sugar to make a nice smooth paste. To be honest, it's not my best work, bringing back memories of when patterned artex ceilings where a thing. Taste test tomorrow as I've put my hammer drill on charge overnight as a precaution 🤔

The icing had set this morning. Looking closely there are myriad of very small pock marks in the texture. Tips for my next attempt would be welcome. ( I've just discovered a bottle of Navy Rum in the cupboard, so rum and raisin will be my next Barm Brack )

Westons Vintage Organic is my favourite. I've found Cider goes exceptionally well with Curry, far better than the gassy Kingfisher / Cobra that's usually offered.
