Good morning. It is raining.........a lot. I had planned to go out with the club. Binned that when I heard the pitter patter machine gunfire of raindrops on our windows. I have had the most extraordinary amount of sleep in the last 15 hours. Got home after our walk yesterday and decided to have a snooze which became 2½ hours deep sleep in bed till 6.00pm! Went to bed at 10.00pm and slept till 5.30am. Really feeling quite chipper this morning.

So today? Well it's very wet so all outside activity is cancelled. I will find indoor stuff to do. Not sure what but there must be something which needs doing. I won't be asking Mrs P, that would make it a very busy day. Then we have the footie at 5.30pm, hmmmmm????? PNE v Rovers. HUGE game. What do we know about this?
  • Our seats are in row three. We will get wet
  • Traffic will be horrendous
  • The result could well determine our season
  • The result WILL determine the size of my whisky glass around 8.00pm
  • I am nervous and excited
That's about it really. Wish us luck. :hello:

Best of luck.
Will our boy be playing??
Wear a Rovers scarf so we can recognise you🙂

Morning. Bloody chilly start here again but the sun is out now and we have a blue sky. Last really nice day for a while though.

I got out for a 21 mile bimble while it was quiet. Hopefully get a walk later. Tomorrow's plan is an early walk/jog then settle down to watch the London Marathon.

Morning all.. This is a bit early for me these days but we have a open meeting ( three races open to sailors from other clubs ) to day at the sailing club and I have volunteered to do rescue duty all day ( mrs exlaser is sailing ). So we need to be at the club for nine which is over a hour earlier than normal .
Hopefully it will be good day with enough wind and plenty of visitors.
Wish us luck, especially mrs exlaser 😀.
Have a great day everyone.

Good luck - hope you're not needed
and good luck to mrs exlaser!

Right - I'm up
awake early again so got up about 7:15
partly because I know the builders would be here about 8 ish and if I try to go back to sleep I will just be checking the clock every 5 minutes and worrying

Apparently "we" have volunteered to look after grandkids 1 and 3 later on so their Dad can take number 2 to a birthday party
which he loves - all his friends from his special school so I think it is also good for the parents to get to know each other and talk

Oh - and I suggested that - as it was our 5th aniversary - that SWMBO and I go out for dinner last night

apparently it was not a good idea because we do not have a shower at the moment so she can;t 'do her hair' properly

total mystery to me as we do have a functioning bath with a shower attachment
but what do I know about hair!!!

Good morning all.
The dog has been walked, now I am drinking coffee and eating toast and marmalade before tackling the hoovering and the cleaning the stair carpet, which I spilt tea on the other day.
I have some more seeds to sow, sunflowers, lupin, and dahlia.
Tonight we will be having fish and chips from the local chippy. I can't be bothered to cook today.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
