Just short of £1,900.
If you pre-order now.

Ye gods - how frigging absurd is that.

I guess the Gear Junkies will be wetting their undies by now.

Been playing hookey from this thread for a while as I went down to New Mexico for a week to help my sister do a couple of things in her yard and generally visit. She has had some kind of leukemia that is very slow acting but the last month has seen it worsening fairly quickly and she tires very easily. She is planning a trip in September for a week in Paris though, and I will have to go down to care for her dog and cockatiel, I fear. I drove from Albuquerque NM to Denver CO yesterday, but had to wait in a little town along the way for an hour or so because there was a major thunderstorm in Denver with a couple of tornado touchdowns and it was better to wait that out.
Albuquerque has more than 400 miles of bike routes and one is about 20 miles long in the Rio Grande Bosque. (Bosque is a Spanish word referring to the trees and vegetation found next to rivers in the arid high desert). The path is flat and straight and the mornings were still and warm so I enjoyed 4 days of 20 mile rides spinning out as fast as I could go on my Brompton P line. Very nice change from the hills and twists and turns of my Casper routes.
I will hang out here for a few days and go home on Saturday. Hopefully I won't go anywhere else for a while and can get some stuff done at home. Maybe even stay current on this thread.
Bien venidos to all the new folks making the retirement plunge and best wishes for Mrs Dave 7. Hasta luego!

Nice update.

Sorry to hear about your sister.

Quick update.....I promise not to labour things.
The Doctor asked me to go in asap. MrsD is sedated but they are giving her hours, maybe days.
I have come back home and left son and daughter with her.
2 1/2 hours was enough for now.

Oh no - thinking of you and your family Dave. 😥

Everyone on this thread, or for threads posted in Personal Matters, will always be here to talk.

'Talk' as long as you like on here, no one will mind - you are going through a very tough time that is likely to get even tougher and you will need to share and vent somewhere.

Whatever the future holds, please don't bottle your feelings up. :okay:

Well that didn't go to plan, using the bus on demand service for the first time and the bus was late, this made us late arriving at the club and we missed the spread, by the time we got there all that was left was a few cakes, I went across to the shop and got a pack of sandwiches. We usually use the normal bus service but with the rain my Good Lady was going to get wet sat in her wheelchair whilst I pushed her to the bus stop so we went for the bus on demand, the trip home was decent though, the bus turned up as we left the club, the driver was chatty and organised, she ignored the instruction on her paperwork to take the others and then come back for us and took everybody, our neighbour was on the bus, and as a bonus I won a fiver on the bingo.

A run to the Falls of Shin earlier today via road and trail. So many different species of birds, and a Cuckoo was being very vocal.
