Morning all

Managed to survive last night's borefest with the help of copious supplies of alcohol. Even MrsD sank a few beers to alleviate the pain.
We're all off on the trains today, so that will keep the chuckle brothers occupied until late afternoon. Just got this evening to get through and then we're on the home run - they go back tomorrow.
We had some other visitors yesterday, as well.

My son has. He uses his French one in the EU and British when he comes back.

I woke up at 5.30 to hear a magpie bashing my workroom window with his beak. He could probably see himself and thought it was a riv al. Bloomin loud and I thought the window was going to break.

We are now currently having a battle between us with him trying to get to the window and me shushing him away for a while, then he comes back. GGGGGrrrrrr

Morning all lovely blue sky here without a cloudy to be seen. A day painting the garden fence for me. Had a nice day in Bath yesterday , and went to a talk by A.C Grayling,very thought provoking. Hope to get a break from painting an go for a cycle ride at sometime . Hope you all have a good day.

Who has two passports anyway.

I suspect quite a lot of people who were able to obtained a second passport in recent years.
Not sure my knitting skills are up to the job.

Good morning. Sunshine, grey spells and perhaps a shower or two today. It's Tuesday and small person has just gone out swimming with Nana.

Regrettably I've just had a row with a neighbour. Someone was dropping a dog, unknown to me, at her house. We frequently get parents dropping kids at school who park in a manner that blocks access to our house. This happens perhaps every other week. The person dropping the dog had completely blocked our access. I'd just spent 90 minutes in rush hour traffic collecting the small one to get home only to find I can't get to my house. Nearest space is perhaps 300 yards away on a road meaning I can't get granddaughter out of the car. I lost my temper, shouldn't have done but did.

Right - so - dry but looks windy based on the trees at the back

builder have just arrived (10:40 ish) as they have only a few bits left to do - today is the last days except for a few bits that have to wait a while (like cleaning up the flags which has to wait until the skip goes)

so after today we will have our house back

does turn ou that the steam cleaner for the floors does not actually emit any steam - so cleaning the new tiled floors was not working too well

SWMBO was saying it was working fine - but turns out that it only worked if it went over a wet patch from something else - after which it was simply a damp rag being rubbed over the floor
which was fine for getting the dust up (which was the important bit after the work being done) but is naff all use wor actually cleaning the floor!

so I have a job do do!

Oh - and getting ears syringed this afternoon

I don't have a passport. Never had one, no real intention of getting one.
