Morning..........I was out on the bike by then!

Nearly 27 miles on the mountain bike done. Mix of road and trail. Forecast said there was a chance of a shower but it held off.

Well done. I thought I glimpst my mojo in the distance earlier, if I hadn't already promised to take my Good Lady out a bimble might have been on.

Manual worker, labouring, forklift driver, van driver, stores and warehouse.

I read this thread as a form of self torture. All things being equal I'll be a bona fide member next year.

I just need to get my mind set right, and stop feeling aggrieved that anyone going a month before me gets an extra days retirement, and I have to work an extra day because of that bloody leap year.

I retired a year early at 64, I'd put myself in the position where I could survive the year before my pension kicked in, a cycling mate of mine retired at 40,

Is that a recognised footpath or has the farmer just been generous and doesn't plough to the edge like some of them do around here.
It's not a footpath, but it's the farm where I go clay shooting and old farmer boy James is happy for my to roam at will cos he knows I'll challenge anyone letting their dogs on the crops or messing with machinery etc.

That bit where the photo was taken is the track he keeps clear so people can driver their cars down to the shooting area, but 200 metres further on.
