Glad the family are helping out. My brother happily sat back and let me run around seeing to my step mum and dad in their old age and failing health. I have since fallen out with him and no longer in contact.

How long will this good weather last?
Off to Minehead for some shopping and then I'll probably spend the rest of the day in the garden.
Lidl have a deal on a 4 in 1 petrol multi tool. Might take a punt on one to replace my old Webbs tool, which can be a bit temperamental.

Hello! It is a beautiful sunny day here in Lamlash, our plan is to make a picnic, get our boots on and head out for a day's walking. Mrs P is checking out routes and I have the more tricky task of finding somewhere to stay Saturday to Tuesday next week. Everywhere seems to be FULL! Great for Scottish tourism but a little difficult for a soon to be homeless Sassenach!
I realised yesterday what it is that makes Arran special. Yes, a lovely island, little traffic, nice people etc. which one can find in many, many places. It's the silence though, there is no modern day background noise. It is just quiet. I'm used to this from time to time when cycling or walking but here it is all the time. Wonderful and makes one realise just how noisy our daily lives are.
