From my Facebook feed this afternoon.
We've been watching a couple of episodes of " Magpie Murders " over the last three nights. Really enjoyed it, lots of twists and turns to the plot and a great juxtaposition of the old and new timelines.
Looks like a new Midsummer Murders is on tonight.
No, too much dossing about and I get bored, rather quickly unless I'm knackered.
I’ve tried this dossing I don’t get chance to enjoy it as I usually dose off😴💤😴
Today, I am proud to report that we are undertaking that much maligned and often misunderstood pastime of...
... doing Sweet FA.
In all seriousness we love it - 2 hard-working lives spent hard at work in demanding careers and our retirement is primarily R&R - spent chilling and relaxing together.
Obviously there needs to be an element of keeping fit, and there is always some mundanity to deal with in life, but in general we like nothing more than a good old companiable doss.
It's not for everyone, we are close to two couples who just can't sit still. Every day is a walking day or a golf day or a to-do list day ad-infinitum. Both think we waste too many days. As background, both couples are in marriages where the fires of passion dimmed long ago and they find it difficult to just be together for any length of time. One couple is also suffering from 'empty nest' syndrome.
As ever, each to their own, but we are happy that every day does not have to be filled with outdoor activities, meeting up with people or wading throuh a list of tasks.
So, fellow retirees, what do you think of having a lovely doss as a way of spending retirement?
On a beautiful day such as today it's a fabulous location. Very interested to see how the last two Dukes have commercialised Blair Atholl, presumably to ensure its survival. Seems to have been done very carefully though @Mo1959 will correct me if I got the wrong impression.

And the "Farmers Walk"?Nothing wrong with it at all, if it suits you. I occasionally enjoy a dossing day but generally, as I'm sure you've all gathered, I like to be busy. I get bored very easily. When the mood takes me I do enjoy a good doss.
Today was a bit of a doss around. A short walk to the Falls of Braur then to Blair Atholl for the Highland Gathering and Games - we spent five hours lounging on a grassy bank watching dance competitions, pipe bands and Highland Games. I've never seen Highland games before and if one enters into the spirit it's quite engaging and a good giggle.

Dossing and Dozing often go hand in hand with each other. 😆

@BoldonLad your good lady will do this walk in one day?

And the "Farmers Walk"?
That is her plan. She averaged 3.7mph today, over just over 5 miles. Her memory may be failing her, but, appears, not her legs![]()
