I had a saddle with the same problem Only found out it was the saddle when I stood on the pedals to go up hill the creak stopped.Gave rails a squirt ofWD40 Solved the problem

I remember a rattle from many years ago, couldn't trace the cause, we'd had several weeks of hot sunny weather and I'd been in short sleeves, we had a few cooler days and the rattle stopped, it warmed up, I went back to short sleeves and the rattle returned, turned out it was my metal watch strap rattling against the handle bars, but by then the bike was in the best shape it had ever been in.

With what shall I sharpen it ???
Well if you were Henry, it could be with a stone dear Henry....

Managed to get the weedkiller done on the patio but more needed so I will havet o go to a garden centre or something

after that I went for a ride - just over 25 miles
Just at the furthest point I came to a huge queue of cars queuing for a swing bridge across the River Weaver
so I wizzed past them thinking something interesting might be going down the river

got there and - nothing
went up to the barrier and noticed a man in the control box on teh phone

was wondering what was happening when a couple of motorbikes came up seperately
the first one stopped and asked me if I knew what was happening but I didn;t - we were just talking when the other guy went as asked the bloke on the control box what was happening

apparently they had opened the bridge for a narrowboat (which I would have thought didn;t need it but anyway) and the bridge had expanded and wouldn;t close properly again
looking at it the left edge of the road was only closed up to the centre line on the land

clearly they couldn;t let anyone try to use it

I did my "good deed" thing and went up the line of cars telling people it was closed and why
did about 12-15 cars and gave up - if people saw a dozen cars, a coupel of vans and a lorry turn round and didn;t realise the bridge was closed then.........

anyway finished the ride

only negeative is a painful "thingy" in the top right of my left palm - presumably it got banged up by the bumpier than usual route
I should probably take some Ibuprofen to calm it down!

anyway - also done some lofing around - which was also on the list

Oh forgot to mention

on my ride outwards I have to do a quick right and left on the track to get over a bridge
On the bridge was a "young person" - male - with a bike

so far so good

excpet that he was wearing a black tracksuit - zip fully done up - long trousers
and a balaclave

In this weather!!!!

didn;t seem to be up to anything dodgy
did think of commenting "you warm enough mate??" as I passed but thought that might be a bad idea!!
