Good afternoon all.
Son's greenhouse and pots duly watered. Lunch was had at the Red Lion in Chenies. Very nice it was too.
Then we went for a circular walk down by the River Chess, which was about 3 miles, enough in this heat. Fortunately the footpath came up right by the side of the pub, so another refreshing pint of ale was had before coming home.
I have just ordered a 210 litre water butt. I should of done years back, but have finally got around to it.

Well that was a tad damp:rain::rain::rain:, we came out of the club and it was spitting, by the time we made the bus stop a hundred yards away it was hammering down, it continued to hammer down whilst we were on the bus and when we got off the bus we stayed in the bus shelter, normally I'd push my Good Lady home from there, when the other bus came we scampered across to the terminal and caught the bus up the hill, which left us a couple of hundred yards from home sheltering in the bus stop till it eased enough to dash home, we had to change our wet when we got home, half an hour after we got home the sun came out.
It was a good and profitable afternoon apart from that, lunch at the Cassilex cafe then down the club for a drink, bingo and socialising, we both won on the bingo and we had a good natter.

I enjoyed a few hours again with my old neighbour. We did the loch side walk then up over the hill back home. Roughly 8 miles with several seats and a little picnic.

Just took the one quick snap when I was sitting enjoying lunch.

The garden centre is on the main Amersham road, the village is just off of that road, but only a mile or so away.
I ordered the butt from Amazon though.

Do any of you know just how cold it's possible to get sitting in a swimming pool for 75 minutes?

I have the heating on. A fleece and a down jacket. Tea, KitKat and a piece of toast.
It can get your core temperature down below the normal body temperature of 37°C, with ease.
Warm yourself up slowly, with no rubbing or direct heat applied. Let the body reheat itself.

Folks......your support will be much appreciated today as it is the funeral of my much loved MrsD.
The hearse will leave from my house ar 09.30 with the family travelling behind (this is the family's wish.....I prefer a simple afair but I am OK with their preference).
A light pub buffet will follow).
I am crying as I type this so god knows how I will get through the funeral**
** My SiL is taking this. It is his wish as he really loved my wife (hated me but loved my wife 😀).

I hope the day went as well as these things can do . Try and remember all the good/happy/funny things you shared.

And hold on to the thought , you will get though this and you will feel better than you do now .
