Well I gave up about 6.15 and got up. It's much more comfortable downstairs. Coffee drunk, paper read and now time to crack on. There's a mountain of ironing so I'll do that after checking my allotment.

Thank heavens for aircon. The house feels quite pleasant but it's quite sticky outdoors already.

Just back from a 33 mile spin. At least the humidity doesn't feel as bad on the bike with the air flow. Nice and peaceful. Barely saw a car until the last few miles.

Didn't see anything particularly exciting though. Just the usual deer, rabbits, and hares and the peacocks that live just outside the town.

Coooooeeeee. 19 deg here already. Its supposed to be cooler here, but it isn't. Its going to be bloody horrible again.

I will have to turn the air con on I think.

You just use a library login - a free service they provide. Sadly not ALL papers are on it, but plenty enough

Armed Forces Day today….shame the Merlin engined planes have been grounded.

Got some bamboo and laurel to cut back this morning.
Once that's all done we'll nip out to the White Horse for Sunday lunch.

After yesterday's drugs fest my neck is much better, so now planning on going underneath the car, which will probably result in no progress and a bad lower back later. But needs must, MOT next week

Well I was right, I'm now crippled in my lower back and having to move around slowly with a walking stick. I knew getting into tight spaces was going to be a problem.
Just goes to show even at 61 you can know what might happen, but still do it anyway.

So cycling cancelled today sadly, let's hope I can get well enough to take the car for it's mot on Tuesday - it's a low car so getting out can be a chaenge

Good morning folks, unusually I'm a bit flat today, my get up and go seems to have got up and left.

If I happen to see it round here I’ll give it a spray with WD40and send it back.

I just read a story about dragon horse flies. Apparently they can bite through clothes, tear open your skin and suck your blood and they are immune to most fly sprays. Oh and they love the heat. Great. Something else to look forward to then.
