Got a letter from the tax man this morning. Apparently, I have paid too much tax last year so my bank account will be credited in the next 5 days, after claiming it on line. These are the type of letters I like.

Got a letter from the tax man this morning. Apparently, I have paid too much tax last year so my bank account will be credited in the next 5 days, after claiming it on line. These are the type of letters I like.
To be fair to HMRC they are very quick off the mark whenever we claim.
Strange thing: 2 years back I owed £500ish and informed them twice online (in addition to the original SA return) and they have never acknowledged my contacts or taken the money.
I still show it as -£528 on our monthly finance reconciliations just in case they ever grab it.

I picked up our lad from the station about eleven, had cuppa when we got back and gave him his presents. We've been out to lunch. We had a cuppa this afternoon and you can't have a birthday without cake.

Bruce seems OK, kennel cough seems mild. He's hyper fit and in his absolute prime so should recover without treatment, but first sign of worsening I'll have him at the vets. Doesn't seem the same walking Mini D to and from school without my best buddy to keep me company.

He looked gutted when he realised he wasn't coming with me. Problem is its highly infections to other dogs, and the best treatment is rest so I had to do the responsible thing even though it broke my 💔 to do so.

Yes, always a tough one.
Annoying though as we have walks sorted, restaurants sorted and booked, trip into Newcastle city centre sorted etc.
Not the end of the world as we will have other trips as the year goes by but just a blooming nuisance.
Plus the weather here at home will be no better. The great British summer!
